Same strap problem!!
on 22 September 2008
This is a pretty nice watch which I happily owned for almost a year until guess what......the strap broke!! This has to be a design flaw, unlike most other watches the leather strap is not sewn together to hold it to the metal bar on the face rather plastic fittings are attached securely to the bars and then the strap is simply "GLUED" to them!!?? Of course it doesn't take long for this glue to come away and hey presto one useless watch.
It also seems rather convenient that the strap is not covered by the 2 year warranty and the cheapest i have been able to find a replacement for is £27, more than half the current price of the watch! Pretty dissapointed with Diesel and im sure this can't be an isolated incident.
