this was purchased for me last summer and i was more than delighted. the 3 discs detail the Fa cup Final and the Champions League Final in both games Stevie performed miracles to drag Liverpool from the pits of despair to cup glory. but you also get an insight into the year Stevie experienced between may 2005 and 2006.

Stevie gives a reasonable insight into this home, his stunning wife Alex also comes across as someone crazy about Stevie and her family but not really bothered about her husband's job (nothing wrong therE). stevie goes on to give a tour of his home including his mates and agent and a stunning part occurs when he reveals an almost shrine like tribute to Liverpools triumph in 2005. he also describes the moments when he nearly left the club aswell as the ups and downs in liverpools season plus his hopes for the future. awards and ads aswell as some autographs thrown in and the birth of his 2nd daughter. a year inthe life of often bores people but this is atleast watchable.

we also get the full 120 mins of Liverpools epic 2005 Champions League final win over Ac Milan when Liverpool came from 3 goals down to win on penalties. This is truly the most dramatic final of all time. No Liverpool supporter will ever tire of having this in their collection. When you watch again for the first time you will suddenly feel all the emotions of that night come back. Watch Stevie as he somehow pulls a rabbit out of the hat and leads by example in an awe inspiring performance.

Although amotionally the Fa Cup final may not have been on a par with the champions league final you still cant help but enjoy it. A truly epic match marked as the Gerrard final where Stevie dragged Liverpool from 2 0 and 3 2 down to win the cup. Scoring two goals Gerrard also set up one and was one of the Liverpool's succesful penalty takers. A true captains performance from one of the best midfielders in the business.

Worth buying if you have not got the cup finals on dvd, the year in the life story is worth watching but not worth crying about if you dont have it
