I came across Sarah's music when travelling in Australia; I can't understand why she isn't bigger over in the UK.
This has been one of my favourite albums for some time; Sarah Blasko is very talented, and her music has depth and feeling, her voice is stunning, and her style is individual and intelligent (her music videos are pretty good, too).
The first track will plunge you straight into a dark, hypnotic track of great beauty, "For you", which takes a while to build, but effectively communicates the feelings that deep and/or obsessive love can evoke. There follow more tracks which run the gamut of emotion, giving plenty of variety. My favourites are "Hammer" and "Planet New Year".
I find the album to be quite textured and layered in subtle ways, although some people may think it too understated.
