Brilliant value, but an LED has gone out after less than a month.
on 8 October 2012
I wish I could post a picture of it, but one of the display's amber LEDs has died. It still functions as a reverse sensor, and the distance display still reads, but after 2 weeks of use it has shown signs of being cheap and nasty. Now I don't know how much more of the display is going to die, and I'm left a little disappointed with a product that could have been so pleasing.
Furthermore, the seller has ignored one of my emails so far, and doesn't provide a telephone number on their page, saying, "we will reply your (sic) email within 24-48 hours, we are off in (sic) Sat and Sun." It's been two weeks since my email and I've sent a second. If they redeem themselves, then I will report back and amend the negative feedback I've left them.
I guess sometimes things are too cheap to be reliable.
SOME TIME LATER: After leaving this review I got an email back. They offered to repair it if I send the old one back at my own cost. To do this, I would need to take off my van's rear bumper, remove the side panels and insulation, remove the door step trim and lower seatbelt trim - so I can box it up and pay to post back an item I bought for £15. No thanks. Even if I were to receive a new one, I'd have to go through much of the same process to re-install it.
FURTHERMORE: I received a crackly phonecall from an Eastern lady which went something like: "You leave bad feedback. Why you leave bad feedback?". My response was something like, "Huh? What?". I'm afraid to say it all sounded too dodgy to warrant respect, so I hung up. Only afterwards did I make the connection.
