Bought this as a vinyl back in the early 70's, loved it and still do. Finally got to meet Michael and see him live some 40 years later at a rain soaked small folk night in the Brecon Beacons. Floated home on a sea of wine ! He was a pleasure to chat to and a joy to listen play, a real professional on a very wet and miserable night, it didn't faze him. Great guitar playing and this Cd is a good example of his great talent, never received the recognition he deserves.
This is a great, gritty album that shows the development of Michael Chapman's songwriting and playing. More electric guitar playing by Michael which marked a new sound for the album but plenty of acoustic stuff to show continuity with previous albums. I loved discovering this album way back when on vinyl and I am enjoying getting to know the songs again on CD. Not the first album I would choose if I recommending a Michael Chapamn album to new listeners but essential to understanding how the songwriting and guitar playing developed.
