Moore or less?
on 23 March 2016
This is a review for A View To A Kill (Ultimate Edition 2 Disc) [DVD].
One of the weaker instalments in the Roger Moore era. It's basically a reworking of Goldfinger - instead of gold, it's silicon chips so, replace Fort Knox with Silicon Valley. It has its moments - the repartee between Moore and Macnee, Moore/Walken. The weakest link for me is the Bond girl, Tanya Roberts, nice to look at, but her acting leaves a lot to be desired.
Best scene - Bond fighting Zorin on the Golden Gate Bridge.
Film ratio is 2.35:1. Audio is DD 5.1. Both picture and sound are excellent.
Extras - a shed load of commentaries, documentaries, featurettes, trailer, photo gallery, etc.
It's a shame that Roger didn't end his Bond stint on a high note, but then Sean's Diamonds Are Forever wasn't so great either!
