These are quite stunning performances for those into this kind of music. The baroque organ only seems to have a few stops but their quality and clarity is wonderful. For the non connoisseur I imagine the music would seem rather tedious.

Arrived as promised. Wonderful music, beautifully played. Fantastic value for money and a great introduction to organ music and the glory of Handel.

I had the opportunity to compare these 2 concerts of Handel's Opus 4 and 7 between the Koopman Orchestra Amsterdam and the Marie Claire Alain/Jf Paillard Chamber Orchestra, and in my ear Koopman's work is more clear and clean for the organ because the orchestra sounds the same level as the organ, unlike the work of Marie Claire Alain everything and do a great performance but is very low respect to the volume orchestra sound, and after an organ entry harms the ears, as to quality is better orchestral arrangements Paillard's work despite being the year 1961 the Amsterdam orchestra is more discrete, so I recommend these two great concerts at a price very much content to who find an just equilibrium between organ and orchestra. To comment an error in the CD labels, the CD's opus VII contains items opus IV and vice versa.

Lively and bright performances. Organ excellent with well balanced registrations and seneitive phrasing. Ensemble work good. Recording bright and well balanced.

I've been fond of this tuneful music since I was young and can imagine Handel improvising at the Organ. This collection of his Organ concerti is an authoritative one but this qualification doesn't stop it from being intrinsically joyful music. Having said that I must also admit that listening to these all the way through, as a collection, can make my ear a little complacent. I still recommend it though.
