Wonderful Buster, my greatest obsession.
The first time I saw Keaton was on a rather poor grainy copy of 'One week'
I instantly fell in love, his films can simply never be overrated - they are in a league of their own, an utter joy.
Much to my fiancé's wrath, I've been collecting Keaton bits from that very day and I wish they were all as good as this product.
Well designed, well written information and lots of extras.
The films are wonderfully restored and presented.
Three Ages was always my least favourite of his films but is still highly entertaining in parts, Steamboat Bill is of course - a Masterpiece and along with the dashing Buster, the beautiful Marion Byron and Ann Cornwall in 'College' are wonderful in there roles.

Some cheaper Keaton DVD's are quite poor, I have some that don't even have 'chapter spacings' between the films - so to see the second or third film you have to fast forward like VHS as prehistoric as the dinosaur Buster rides so magnificently in The Three Ages!
(Yes you did read that right!)

If only they were all like this, three disks and terrific photos printed thereon - a must for Keaton and Silent fans.

I was wondering about the total timing announced of 431 minutes in 3 DVD. Well, there was no mistake : the box set includes a lot of extras, variously related to the feature :
DVD 1 includes a short of 1963, The triumph of Lester Snapwell, one of the last Buster appearances, 22 minutes ; While they love cavemen, a 1921 cartoon, related only by the thema ; plus, one excerpt of Griffith's Intolerance.
DVD 2 : excerpts of the B.Keaton show and Candid camera featuring B.K. ; Run, girl, run, 1928 short film, 20 minutes, only related by the thema of sport ; Ball Park, 1929 cartoon, d° ; Sport Chumpions, 7 minutes 1941 cartoon, d°.
DVD 3 : Excerpt from Backstage, a 1919 short featuring BK and Fatty Arbuckle ; excerpt from One week, 1920 short with the same ; documentaries about Mississipi and the flood of 1927.

These are the David Shepard restorations of Steamboat Bill Jr, College and Three Ages - vastly superior to the old prints used on the Network Keaton Chronicles set. All three are great Keaton features and I'd rate Steamboat Bill Jr as his finest - even funnier than The General.
Highly recommended!

The clarity of the film is beautiful - they clearly used a very high quality print. The music compliments the films without being too intrusive, and the whole package is excellent value! I'd recommend this highly for anyone interested in Keaton, regardless of how many other Keaton films they've seen.

A very good and honest choice! The copies are amazingly good, the music is very good too and the price is very low (at least when I bought that dvd set)!
