A Shriek Show triple feature, you can rarely go wrong with these boxsets and they're usually quite cheap, this particular boxset features "Hitcher in the Dark" a late 80's film by Umberto Lenzi, a young man kidnaps a woman intending her to replace his mother who once abandoned him but judging by his past hostages she'd best get away quick, her boyfriend is hot on the trail and the girl tries constantly to escape but with little luck, I'm not going to ruin the ending but will say I agree with Lenzi that his intended ending mentioned in a bonus interview sounded better than what producer Joe D'Amato had Lenzi shoot in the end, all in all not a bad film though.

Next is "The Majorettes", this one is insane, it starts out as a standard slasher film involving someone killing majorettes and for the most part follows through as one but an hour into the film things go off at a tangent as the school junkies and the popular kids go to war trimming the survivors numbers down very fast without the killer even getting involved, this might sound daft but it actually works in the films favour and puts it a little above being just another predictable slasher, all in all its worth seeing though not brilliant.

Lastly "Hell High", the school troublemaker joins up with the ex-jock and they and two others get involved in a prank on an attractive but jittery teacher, quite predictable in places but has some great scenes that you wouldn't expect and overall is quite entertaining, worth watching, by the way I learned that a small scene is missing from the movie involving someones jumper being stolen, its a DVD screw-up and apparently all copies have this problem, anyway you don't miss anything important but it is a little annoying that this wasn't corrected.

Overall the boxset is well worth getting as although the films aren't masterpieces they're all enjoyable and worth the watch if you'd like a night in with some 80's slasher films.
