If you didn't see this live then you won't notice on the DVD as it will be too well edited. Flatley never actually played the flute and the tap noises on the stage were pre-recorded. The cameras at the show zoomed in to his "feet of fire" and they didn't match witht he beats. Made me smile.

A great show though - well put together and awesome production all around. He wasn't alone in the mimes - the fiddlers didn't fiddle and the drummer didn't really drum. They may have been live near the end when they did some solo stuff and that's about it.

Eye candy for the guys as all the girls are just so pretty and well figured. If you have teenage sons then this DVD will provide some late night watching as there are some sexy scenes with nubile young girls with very little on (on occasion for no apparent reason - as a red blooded male even I said to the wife "And that was for what purpose????")

It's strange the guys are not as impressive so the eye candy for the ladies is 47 year old Flatley. And the ladies love him! They screamed like schoolgirls at Sheffield!!

Mike - why didn't you get trimmed off for the show? Yes you are 47 but really - for the tour surely you would have got your weight down. He looked a little chubby for me and that is a shame as it sort of dropped the image which was always so important. Having a large ego (which I reckon has a lot to do with the selection of the not so glamerous male cast) I would have thought he would look super trim.

All in all - just don't expect Lord of the Dance - he can't hit the moves anymore - which as a 38 year old I understand completely - don't get me wrong he is a fit dude and copes well with some outstanding routines. It is no were near Lord of the Dance which he has said is daed and old (don't agree..) this is just a Vegas style production with tapping style dancing. A great show and well worth buying (even if it's just for 14 year old boys..!!!) :)

Arrived promptly. Well produced DVD. Good value. I found it more a celebration of different dance. It was presented, choreographed and performed extremely well but for me not enough of the Irish dance. I found the part which contained British Redcoats rather political, with a slant I found distasteful. The editing contained too much quick cutting from one view to another and not enough general views of the dancing. Flatley is a huge talent and superb dancer but the man does not appeal to me.

The other two and three star reviews are right. Very much a poor second (or should that be third) best after Riverdance and Lord of the Dance. Enjoyable enough if you ignore the anti-English aspects and the overdone Irish-American themes but Yanky Doodle is a rather tiresome tune to end with as compared with the infectious music in the previous shows. Worth the £1.26 I paid for it.

Although a little slow to get going and with some rather controversial sets in the first half, the show exploded into life with visually stunning sets and great dance routines. A little different from previous Flattley shows but still spectacular viewing, and the penultimate rock/tap set was brilliant.

I wasn't sure If would like this, but having seen other Michael Flatley productions I knew it would not let me down. After it had finished, I watched all the highlights again. I would certainly recommend this to any Irish Dance Fan, you will not be disapointed.

Having seen the show live in Manchester, to be able to watch the DVD at home means that we can remember the memories of the live event. The DVD is excellent in all respects, and the price and service from Amazon was excellent.

Sadly disappointed with this production. Hope the new DVD is much better. He seems to have lost most the great feel from his earlier days which is a pity. I admire his work very much.

I have followed Michael Flatley's progress ever since the first "Riverdance" at Eurovision Song Contest in Dublin, as ever he does not fail in this, his latest extravaganza!
