5.0 out of 5 starsAn incredibly beautiful timeless classic!

This is incredibly beautiful, but not at all banal, classically-written, romantic and very "sophisticated" music - and this goes both for the piano solo pieces as well as for the orchestral passages on the album. If you have a preference for piano-centered high-class (and almost classic) film music and like to be excellently entertained and romantically moven without being bored by musical banality, you cannot go wrong with this score. This music can be heard again and again, and it does not lose its attractiveness over the years. It passes easily stands the 'test of time'. Dario Marianelli has created really fantastic and truly inspired music. By the way, if you like this score, do yourself the favor and listen to "Becoming Jane" by Adrian Johnston Becoming Jane as well as "The Butterfly's Dream" by Rahman Altin The Butterfly's Dream (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack) - both scores are only too easily overlooked but are real insider tips and just as precious and beautiful as this one!
The music from this film is absolutely beautiful. It captures both a gentle and more sedate side of life as well as a more (at times) frenetic one. I envisage the scenes as the music plays (which I think is a bonus).
