1_Double DVD. 2_Excellent cover and case. 3_DVD 1: Amazing show-Excellent sound and video editing. 4_DVD 2: Special feautures: Old band footage-Nothing special unless you are a hardcore fan. 5_Very low price for a cared production. ENJOY!!!!!
I haven't yet seen the whole thing - which looks pretty cool by the way. Not as cutting edge as "Ain't it dead yet?", and the background video is a bit "traditional" in comparison to the uniqueness of Skinny Puppy. Anyway, the main reason I'm writing this review is to warn customers about faulty DVD's. Both DVD's in the set have errors. As a result I am not able to play it back via the standard DVD Player on my Mac Book. It does play in VLC and on my Dell Laptop, but it has ugly video dropouts very often. Amazon was cool about it and sent me a replacement, but this had the same defects :-(
This is, to my knowledge, the first and only live dvd from Skinny Puppy, and it's worth every penny. The band put on one hell of a show, and the music is, as always, top notch. What surprised me is how good the audio actually is: with most bands, live recordings can be muffled, out of time, etc, but Skinny Puppy don't miss a beat, even improving on the studio versions in some cases. The set comprises of their best work, both new and old, I'd reccomend this dvd to new fans and veterans alike.
Damn, I REALLY want to see them live now....
