Another excellent dvd containing 6 more episodes. As addictive as the previous 2 series and a very good combination of detective and gastronomic adventures. Like a good wine, these episodes improve with age.
These detective programmes are very watchable, both for the wonderful acting - particularly Richard Griffiths and Maggie Stead - but also the slightly quirky plots, which nevertheless are completely believable. The characters are all well-drawn and the gentle humour carries things along at a very satisfactory speed.
We love this series...all of it. Yes, it looks a bit fuzzy on the new TV screens...but it's still good to watch any time. All the characters are excellent: boo and hiss at Crabbe's creepy boss; and cheer when Henry gets the baddies. Hoping to get the next series soon.
