I will cut to the point and strongly recommend this album to you! With such classics as "the importance of being idle" and "turn up the sun" any buyer would find it hard not to start tapping their foot after one listen thourgh of the album. If you are concerened that perhaps "lyla" the first single off the album is the only track on the album that is worth its salt then rest assurde you shall not be dissapionted by the rest of the album whcih delivers to the same high standards. Do yourself a favor and buy this...now!

I didn't think that this was going to be an amazing album, and it is not in the same league as Whats hte story, but it is still a good album. like most Oasis, there are no bad songs, but not many amazing songs either. the best songs are definately Lyla, Turn up the sun and Guessd God think s i'm Abel

Do believe the hype on this one. Recent outings have been notoriously bad lately, but this one is, thankfully, Oasis back to what they do best..old fashioned rock 'n' roll, sounding like every other band on the planet on the way.
Very enjoyable, if you liked "Def Maybe" and "WTSMG" but thought the rest stank, then this is for you.
Possibly not really worthy of five stars, but they are given through sheer relief alone.

Why the hell were the Gallaghers ever allowed to get near a recording studio. Ones is a loud mouth yob with a Lennon fixation. The other a talentless rip-off merchant. Boring tuneless drivel. What on earth is a talent like Andy Bell doing playing second fiddle. If you want to hear superb rock guitar listen to Andy on Ride's 'Grasshopper'. If you want to hear anything better than Oasis try anything-even the Osmonds!!

Heathen Chemistry is probably Oasis's finest hour ,a work stripped of their teeny bopper appeal and hype from their first Two albums. It is therefore surprising that "Truth" is such a let down from a band that seemed to have transcended commercialism and given up stealing other peoples riffs but who have now veered towards the image of The Black Rebel Motorcycle Club. Their hit, "Lyla" is average but the verse melody is far too similar to The Rolling Stones "Street fighting man" and although some of the songs have tinges of greatness, they fade into nothing. Liam tries his hand at songwriting but should steer clear and concentrate on his real talents, his remarkable voice and attitude, and leave the the rest to brother Noel. The tragedy with Oasis is that they possess all the credentials to be the greatest Rock n' Roll band in the world today but are letting it slide by.

oasis are back with probably their fifth best album-heathen chemistry is slightly better but this is better than the quite awful standing on the shoulder of giants. This was played on my ipod for a week and then i switched to coldplays new album, which is far superior.Yeah there's some good songs,no real bad ones, the standouts being "love like a bomb", "guess god thinks i'm abel" and "let there be love" but they are very good songs, not classics that Oasis churned out an alarming rate back in the day when alot of their b sides would beat these songs. So if you are an oasis fan buy it, but don't go expecting much and don't expect to agree with Noel - better than Morning Glory? yeah right, aint even as good as heathen chemistry.

Much better than anything since What's the Story... but the people reviewing this album here really are taking the title a bit too far. Oasis just don't have it anymore and all those young men who flock to their concerts and still rush to buy their albums (and write reviews here) are sadly deluding themselves. What was that line the Who sang in My Generation? This band (not the people obviously) should take that advice. They would be better to end this band and retire with what is left of their dignity in tact.
