The DVD version of Charlotte Hatherley's brilliantly catchy Bastardo doesn't come with the b-sides like the CD, but what it DOES have is the excellent video that stars a lot of comedians, like Simon Pegg, David Walliams and Lucy Davies. It's done in the style of a Jackie annual, and follows the story of the song - about a thieving Spaniard who nicks her guitar - in comic-book fashion. It's very stylish and funny to watch, it's worth buying the DVD for in it's own right. The behind-the-scenes extra is a little short (only about the length of the song, sadly) but it's funny to watch Simon Pegg trying to be a convincing barman. There's also a mini gallery of pictures, but many of them seem like stills from the video. The acoustic version of her internet single Kim Wilde is a nice addition, making the DVD pretty sound value for your money. The fact that it's such a cracking song is another factor, obviously. Buy it!
