This display is superb. I bought one when i got my Dual 2ghz Power mac and i could'nt be happier! The flat display is very crisp and sharp and works great with the look of osx. The 20" is perfect for the creative proffesional for photo editing and video work. The wide display also gives plenty of real estate for your palettes. The look is also perfect. The silver anodosed case looks great and suits the G5 perfectly. It is expensive but if your serious about the quality of your images then this is well worth the price!
Steve Jobs (Apple CEO) has been heard to say something along the lines of "other manufacturers use the LCD panels we reject". When you see this display you can believe it. Compared to cheaper displays the picture is much crisper and much easier on the eye. My workplace got a batch of cheap LCDs in, and using one all day would provoke an almighty headache. No such problem here, the quality is superb. While it's pricier than most, the benefits in terms of long term comfort and long term effects on the eyes are priceless. For maximum benefit of course you'd want a DVI output on your video card, makes all the difference (which is why laptop displays, all digital, often look better than desktop LCDs driven by VGA).
I bought one of these displays a while back. It was a bit of a stretch on the pocket at the time, but it's a pleasure to use every day. Definitely worth the extra money. As someone said (don't know who) "The bitterness of poor quality endures long after the sweetness of low price is forgotten." : No such worries here. Enjoy!
I just bought one of these displays yesterday and couldn't be happier. My previous display was a 20" Dell Ultrasharp, looked ok but had a dreadful TN panel which had a massive colour shift when changing the verticle viewing angle - a nightmare for photo editing.
The Apple display looks crisp, has very accurate colour, is well made, has useful USB and Firewire ports inbuilt. If you are using it for any work where colour accuracy is critical its worth every penny.
