This record is so important to me,I first heard it back in 1989 and it was just the perfect mix of hardcore punk and thrash metal, "crossover" we used to call it.Dont confuse the "thrash" influence with accomplished stuff like Megadeth,Anthrax et all, that was way too polished and a bit too "white" for us hardcore kids back at the time, think Venom,Septic Death,Cryptic Slaughter and Hirax. On top of the musical barrage was the lyrics, delivered in full force by John Joseph, probably one of the best vocal performances on any hardcore record ever.I really sat up and took notice of what this guy was singing,Age Of Quarrel was the first time I ever heard a band and thought to myself "these guys are talking to me,"and songs like Malfunction and Seekers OF The Truth are testament to that.I can't recommend this record enough, forget the in fighting and alleged back stabbing amongst members which have followed in the years since its release, just buy it and get your head kicked in.
