A decent sequel
on 3 April 2013
When I first saw 'The Gods must be crazy' some thirty years ago, I was stunned like many other theatergoers by the original setting, the gorgeous landscapes and the pace of the script. Quite a new world for Europeans !
The Kalahari Bushman and his strange tongue twists are back in this sequel, that tries very hard to emulate the first version and even succeeds now and then.
The script has been duly updated. Nothing breathtakingly original, but a solid and pleasant story.
I would recommend this film to anyone who thinks, like me, that our so-called civilization has a lot to learn from the aboriginal cultures.
And to anyone who love animals: some scenes, especially the one with the baboon, are simply unheard of.
