Once again, a wonderful intelligent rock album from French band KYO. In my view this band just keeps getting better with each new album they release. 300 Lesions is their third and most recent album, and is a brilliant mixture of powerful rock tracks and softer melodies, all brought together with panache.
A step up from Le Chemin, 300 Lesions features a more grown-up style of music-making, but with the same KYO feel to it. The tunes are as good as ever, but the overall coherence has improved further, and as a result the songs are all more powerful and more professional-sounding. If you are looking for powerful songs to rock out to or soaring melodies to relax to, this album has it all.
The songs are all in French, so obviously your appreciation as a listener will be higher if you can understand it, but the quality is such that I think a lot of enjoyment could be gained purely from the tunes.
So I can only praise this album, and recommend it to anyone remotely interested in rock music.
