they are the best for 12+, quite bright yet easily removed from unwanted places (like walls, clothes or sofas). fits will in the little hand.
My son loves not only to draw with these markers but also just carry them around, opening and closing it. :)

I wanted some washable felt tips to add to my daughters art kit as she is only very little and often gets covered in felt tip. They do appear to wash off quicker than others I have used before with her, but to be honest still aren't perfect but that's toddlers getting messy with felt tips for you. They are easy for her to hold and the colours are nice and should grow with her.

Awful idea - seems designed to encourage holding the pen in a fist and mashing it into the paper! My daughter (just under two) couldn't get them to work as you have to practically hold them at 90 degrees to the paper and she is already holding a pen more at an angle. Why would you want to encourage bad habits when toddlers are clearly able to use normal pens if shown how?

Does definitely need to be used very upright but for young children this is the way they generally hold a pen/pencil when first learning to hold one. Does leave slight stain on hands unless you use a wash cloth to firmly remove.

If you want/need washable felt tip pens, go for Crayola. I've never had any problems getting the ink off anything with any of their pens.
This is at least the third pack of First Markers I have bought. They are great for kids starting out with felt tip pens - making bright, thick lines, and pretty safe to be waved around in between drawings!

Not at all suitable for very first attempts at mark making - the tips are very shallow and rounded so they only make a mark if held straight up vertically and not at an angle - my baby extremely frustrated that they don't write for her!

An absolutely superb product. This is the second time that I have purchased them and will only buy these felt tips for my son. Unlike others that claim to be washable, these really are! A baby wipe or will bring them off carpets or furniture and the colour comes off hands easily without the need for harsh scrubbing. They write in any direction, which is brilliant as most toddlers haven't adapted a writing style so these help. They are chunky, brightly colours with large aerated caps.

I didn't have high expectations for these but they are really really good! Little one absolutely love them! He sticks to the paper for now so can't say if it's easy to remove them from walls but they do come off easily from clothes and table tops.

These are perfect for my 1 year old, she draws easily and really enjoys them. wouldn't be any good to draw with holding 'in the proper way' as its a really shallow nib but for a child who draws with closed fist around the pen they're perfect

These are good bright colours and wash off clothes/tables etc easily. The nibs are very flat so if your child holds pens properly, they might find them a bit awkward but OK if they're still holding them with the whole hand wrapped around like in the picture shown.
