Matt Goss has officially come of age with this album. Every fan who has bought his work before obviously would not have a bad word said against our hero but this really is something else. What makes this cd stand out from the other work that he has done is that you don't have to have appreciated the work he has done before to thoroughly enjoy this album.
It is a mix of melodic heart warming ballads and ridiculously catchy tunes that will have you singing them even if you don't want to. (there is a yeah yeah yeah bit in "many roads" which will haunt you forever!) "Just for a change" is extremely clever and once in the brain you will have a hard time getting it back out.
Above all, Matts talent as a songwriter comes to the fore as does his amazing vocal ability.
If you are not a fan now, buy the album and you soon will be.
There is something for everyone of all ages and almost all musical tastes on this album .He is back and he is here to stay.Matt Goss rocks!

I have loved this cd ever since I purchased it back in 2004! It is so quirky and seems as fresh today as it did back then. Matt always wears his heart on his sleeves through his music and for this I thank him. This cd is briming full of absolute treasures. I feel sorry for the people who don't have this in their collection - what pure utter magic they are missing. Every track stands out on its own and is sung with emotion. Definitely a must for your collection.

I bought this CD off a nagging recollection that a friend had told me it was a gem. Well, it is! Eleven beautiful songs particularly well played with understated and thoughtful lyrics. Like another reviewer I simply have the CD on all the time. How can such a wonderful work be so ignored and why are we not seeing more from this intelligent artist? Listen to the album and pick your favourite songs of course but give a hearing to the third track ' Carolyn' and then to the sheer depth of 'Just for a change' - just perfect. The whole album is classy and wonderfully well played, sung and produced. Top notch Matt - more please!

I'm guessing from this album that Matt Goss has a lot of "downs" in his life, romantically, emotionally, the lot! The lyrics focus on rising above the bad stuff, being free and being in love. The general theme is "up"! The sound is great, Goss has a fantastic voice. This is the sort of album you can leave on repeat all night and not get too bored adn feel nicely chilled all evening. I'm looking forward to hearing more.
