BMT2 is a marked improvement over the first game. While the trading system in the first game was rather basic and bland, in the sequel the system is a lot fairer, with parking bonuses and better money to be had on selling goods, amongst other things.
The humour in this game is far more near the knuckle than the first game, too-for example, there is Ms Moon, a naked trader who is a naturist! And get this-on occasion, when she's talking to the character you play as upon entering the store, look carefully down below-you can just see her pubic hairs above the desk as she moves about whilst she's talking, such is the detail in this game!
Overall, the first game's roads had a better feel to them, but the gameplay in this one makes it better than the original. And the same characters and voiceovers appear in this game too, making it an authentic sequel.
It's rating's 16+-given all the delightful sexual inneundoes, just as well, really! Buy it!

This is the worst game I have ever played. I bought the forst Big Mutha Truckers and I felt that it was CLASS! I would give it 4 stars...but not this one.
It is sooooooooo unrealistic. The graphics are useless and I have never seen a truck go from 0kph to 100kph in 2 seconds. Also, what the hell are the aliens and hitchhikers about. If I was a hitchhiker, I would prefer to get into the truck rarther than hanging for dear life off the back of the lorry. What happened to the great graphics and realism that Big Mutha Truckers 1 had. I bought this game and it wasn't worth a penny. If you havn't already bought it, don't even consider it!
The only plus side is the sound track. 'Yeehaw FM' is great!
Graphics - 4/10
Realism - 3/10
Soundtrack - 7/10
Overall - 4/10

I've played BMT1 to death, when i was younger and even now when i'm older, and i still believe its a good game, whereas BMT2 is highly ranking in one of the worst games I've played! handling and other characteristics of the trucks are nothing like BMT1, graphics are worse in my opinion. If you love BMT1 then don't buy this one, i can guarantee disappointment!

when i heard that there was going to be a sequal to big mutha truckers, i immediatly expected the same fun to be in the second game but sadly it was not to be. bmt2 dissapoints in the area of lack of competition. for instance in bmt1 you had to battle your 3 siblings but in this you do not. there are no races from city to city against other truckers and there is no sense of excitement in the game. there are some good points with the added extras of beating the speed cameras, broader map and more realistic characters but overall bmt2 tends to dissapoint. for £14.99 it is a good buy but dont expect the same fun of the first game.
