Great DVD but identical in every way to "The History of Cricket" DVD which is also also available. My advice is get one or the other but not both.

Here's hoping for England in the upcoming 2006 Test down under.

This DVD is a fantastic one!
It shows every way the game came into place and some of the finest batting and bowling legends of all time. It is well worth over the charging price and i would reccomend it to anyone, you also get bonus stuff such as profiles of the greatest cricketers ever and higlights from gloucstershire's brilliant cup triumphs.

The beginning is a little slow showing rather too much of the early cricket. What is so clear is how very much the standard of cricket skill and cricketers skill as increased. The sportsmanship as not so increased but, praise God, the snobbery has reduced. The display or some very fine modern cricket is wonderful.

Only for the very keen or if the DVD is gruesomely cheap. A trawl through the history of the game focusing on selected bits, but never in enough depth. Almost as if a whole bunch of footage suddenly became available for a short time. Maybe worth a third star. Oh, well - too late now.

Good all round cricket DVD, showing players from when the game started up to 2004. Contains some interesting old footage of the players before the war, through the 50's England team, West Indies and Australian dominance and the new emerging test countries.

Those who say they are football fans and cricket is boring are simply ignorant. Cricket is the ultimate team game and this DVD shows some of the greatest players and action of all time and if you know anything about the game you will love every single minute of it.
