At last, the release of this beautifully produced box set from the trio of Frith, Cutler and Krause. This band came together after the break up of Henry Cow. They only recorded three studio albums in a very short space of time, all included here in digipaks with individual booklets and all superbly remastered by Bob Drake. Also included is a double CD of remixed and reworked tracks by various artists. These are mostly an interesting diversion though maybe not for the cursory listener or those just wanting the studio albums, which are being individually released later this year. Finally, there is a CD of other bits and pieces, including some live tracks. The piece, "Coda to Man and Boy" is worth the price of the box set alone, as it includes an astonishing Frith guitar solo. The wonderful album artwork by E M Thomas is nicely reproduced throughout and there is a very informative booklet included, as well as those for the individual albums. Overall, this is an important and deserved release for this short lived, but highly original and influential band.
