Having been a follower of LTJ Bukem and his various out-lets in the music industry I immediately ordered 'Nu Sounds' when I saw the price on Amazon (3quid...) In these terms the CD was well worth buying and was promptly delivered, brand new within two days. The CD compilation of all the Good Looking artists that are emerging today (Greenfly, Makoto, Alex DB, Marcel & others) sees a varied yet uplifting comp. of tunes very reminiscent of the 'Earth' series (some in fact are present in Earth Vol.7...) and contains some 'up-tempo, Progression Session tunes, some jazzy house tunes, a great jazzy/tribal/funk house from the one & only LTJ Bukem and a few intrumentals from the likes of Cedar. 'Nu Sounds' continues the innovative and very musically aware stream of Music that The Good Looking Organisation are currently producing and were it not for the boldly attempted fusion of funk and house, this CD could be another Earth series. Produced, I'm sure, as a representation of the music out there by the GLO crew 'Nu Sounds' draws our attention to the 'Earth' series, the 'Studio X Vol.2' series, 'Progression Sessions and other solo efforts and altogether makes for a refreshing listen. As always associated with this new style the tunes are harmonious and often uplifting while the instrumentals are atmospheric and professionally produced. Those GLO fans out there who appreciate this new move in the fusion of musical genres will appreciate this CD and at a mere three pounds will be stupid to ignore it......
