Its a crying shame that the album 'love you more than football' never got released as the songs we have from it, 'Diary of a Wimp' , 'I love you more..' and 'Good Times' are just amazing. Space's music is quintessentially English and from that lovely time in the UK from about 1996 to mid 2001 before the world started going bad. Glad they are back together and making music for us

For those of us of a certain age, there are numerous Greatest Hits albums that allow us to complete our set of Britpop favourites. Going For Gold by Shed Seven, Intergalactic Sonic 7's by Ash, Forever Delayed by Manics etc - the list is pretty long, even Mansun have a singles collection.

Space gave us some eclectic music at the time, very much at the "-pop" end of the genre. "Female Of The Species" is a classic single with a touch of lounge lizard and a touch of hip-hop, "Neighbourhood" is a wry look at what could easily have been the inhabitants of Brookside.

Unlike Oasis or Blur, Space's popularity waned and as a result they stopped recording, so it is perhaps not surprising to find that this is the first of two very similar looking "Greatest Hits" packages. Some of the Unheard Bits are of questionable quality, but they are more than matched by the joyous melodies of the singles.
