This remastered version is a spectacular improvement over the dvd version that we had. The colors are move vivid, cgi effects have been improved, and of course, the detail in each image is crystal clear. For serious fans, this is a must-have.

I find that the improvements are rarely intrusive, though occasionally they seem a bit labored. In Yesterday's Enterprise, for example, Yar appears to be wearing a crass rouge makeup, which isn't in character. Nonetheless, they did an excellent job overall. I believe this is far better than the souped-up version of the original series, which added many effects simply because they could, such as the increase in the size of the backgound mountains in the arena. There are very good comparison sites on youtube for the curious.

Though NG didn't sell well, I believe the time to buy it is now, while they are selling out the leftovers (I got if for about $US75, whereas the dvd version cost $500 when we got it.) Recommended with the greatest enthusiasm.

As someone who has viewed 'Star Trek: The Next Generation' on TV, on VHS, on DVD and now on Blu-ray there's absolutely no denying the Blu-ray (and the superb work that has gone into re-mastering for HD the entire series) makes this the best way to view it. 176 episodes, all the original bonus material from the DVD releases plus hours upon hours of new interviews with cast and crew, episode commentaries, blooper reels provides a ton of entertainment that I happily spent a couple months working my way through. The series now looks like it was shot newly yesterday, for the majority of the time the non CGI visual effects (especially the glorious modelwork for the Enterprise herself) look fantastic (and better than CGI a lot of the time) and that real family of characters underpinning even the silliest episodes makes it all work. Stunning work, a great series and more than worth the money spent buying it.

Star Trek TNG in High Def and with loads of extra features. Loving it all over again. The new graphic art is excellent, the only time the HD lets the prog down is when there are furry "costume" aliens which do look a bit tacky compared to the excellent prosthetics (Eg in 'The Dauphin")
Otherwise the blue ray is brilliant and a major step up from what I had (which were Digital VHS from BBC broadcasts, and therefore about as good as standard def recordings get).
A fabulous addition to the original series blu ray's.

Came just as pictured and arrived early for my dad. Packaging was fine, no damage. Great quality esp. for the price considering the bonuses on the discs as well; thanks!

Amazing to have the whole TNG for this price and in a single package, is such a shame that just because Netflix is successful, Paramount seems to believe we will not buy a remaster of DS9 or Voyager (I will even buy a remaster from Voyager on BR even if it is the worst Startrek series by far)

Product came, in good condition and I popped in a season 3 disk and was amazed at the picture and sound quality! (and I am fussy about these things.) It has been several years since I watched the show, so I am especially enjoying the refresh and frankly this was the only way I would get the first two seasons. (We are so lucky that loyal fans carried it through those first two years, or it may have been the start of a major downward trend for the franchise.)

Picture and sound a definite improvement on the DVD. Althuogh some of the stage sets might not stand the test of time, the performances and stories are still solid.

Very impressed the quality of these Blu-ray remastered episode's is far superior to the SD versions it's a whole New Star Trek Experience.
(Don't expect a wide screen version the type of film used when TNG was made does not lend itself to be remastered into wide screen. This in my opinion is a Small price to pay for an otherwise excellent Blu-ray experience)
