The screwpull decanting funnel is quite simply the best there is! Nothing more needs to be said.... if you drink vintage port, or red wine that has sediment, this is for you... there's no better.

Like the other reviewers have said this works superbly. I drink crusted or vintage port, I don't always have time to leave the bottle out for hours or days to allow the sediment to settle. You can take a bottle thats been horizontal, turn it upright and pour through the funnel and all the sediment will be filtered out. Much cleaner and easier than using cheese cloth or similiar materials for filtering.
The filter mesh is very fine and arranged in two layers. If there is a lot of sediment, the filter will block, but don't worry simply pour the wine in the filter back into the bottle, rinse the filter in water, wait a few minutes for the sediment to settle and then carry on.
