I wanted a set of wireless headphones to listen to classical and popular music without disturbing the rest of the family and in the garden. For optimal sound I use the speaker system and I knew that the quality of the sound for wireless phones was likely to be inferiour to the specialist wired systems. I was bought a set as a birthday present and they gave good service ( used at least 3 hrs per day) for 2 years. I believe the rechargeable battery has now failed.
Positives - comfort and generally a good sound performance which worked up to the claimed 100m although certain buildings / trees gave some sound ( radio) radio fade effects.
Negatives - the fact that the on /off slider switches attached to the headband can switch off the sound if the headphones are adjusted on the head is irritating . The phones also went " crackly" after 24 months ( battery low or dirty sliding switch?)
There is also no simple way of replacing the rechargeable battery except through SONY ( not known for cheap repairs in my limited experience and sites are now more difficult to find where I live ) - the battery type is not quoted on the Internet. I would question whether 2 years was a reasonable life for items of this type but I will attempt a manual strip and repair.
Other people may be more lucky on batter life !
Maybe not for the HiFi enthusiast but the convenience / flexibility of mobility to listen to music in the garden in Summer is great.

IF THIS IS THE BEST SONY CAN OFFER THEN IT FALLS SOME DISTANCE SHORT OF WHAT I CALL A DECENT PRODUCT. AT FIRST THESE HEADPHONES ARE A GOOD ADDITION TO ANY SOUND SYSTEM,BUT AFTER A WHILE THE PROBLEMS START. FIRSTLY THE SOUND ISN'T ALWAYS AS CLEAR AS EXPECTED AND SECONDLY, (MORE IMPORTANTLY) OCCASIONAL MOVEMENT OF PERSONS HEAD CAUSES HEADPHONES TO SWITCH OFF.
LUCKY TO GET 1 STAR.
