My life as a tight fisted northerner has been a cheapo hoover graveyard. After umming and ahhing over this Henry and a Dyson last time, I ended up buying yet another pile of junk that lasted 5 months or so.
So sod it, I bought a Henry!
As I write there are 818 four and five star reviews against 57 one, two and three star reviews. No competition!
Upon taking it out of the box I could immediately feel the build quality is non other than first class. The hoover body (bottom) and motor (top) once clipped together are as solid as can be. The handle and rewind mechanism feel very sturdy as does the hose connection point. Even the wheels are very good.
The tools are also spot on! Quite long stainless steel tubing sections and tough well designed/made attachments. The flexi hose screws onto the body, so no bloody clips/catches to break off!
In use, I really like it. There are more powerful ones out there but with the design of the tools here. . .I don't think you need power. The brush 'really' hugs the floor well, picking everything up efficiently. As do the other attachments. You can increase the power if need be by the flick of a switch. Back to hoover bags aswell. I'm sick to death of 'bagless' cleaners. They're a nightmare to empty out, dust evetywhere. Ridiculous idea that seems a gimmick! I forgot how easy it was to just pop the bag out and bin it, job done.
Another thing I like is the cleaning range. 28.6 metres which is just shy of 88 feet! Possibly no need to unplug the plug in somewhere else. It can take a knock too! Bumping and bashing it around as you go doesn't seem to bother good old Henry.
They don't build'em like this anymore you hear nowadays. They do with this one! I think Henry will be around for quite a long time. . .
Highly Recommended :)
