After the rather unsuccessful release of Bonkers 7 back in '99, people believed that hardcore was dead and couldn't be revived, but they were wrong... Along came 'The Rezurrection', 'Hardcore Mutation', and now Bonkers X, the tenth installment, and what a storming 3 CD set this is! Hixxy, Sharkey, both bonkers veterans, and Bonkers 9 newcomer Scott Brown, are all on top form. Hixxy's mix has real up-to-the-minute tunes that are fresh out of the studios, like UFO & Marley's 'Underground' and Dowster's 'Starlight' which is my personal fave because of it's roof-shattering melodic synths and banging beats!
Sharkey's mix is, as his mixes have always been, the fastest mix of the 3, with top tracks like K-Komplex's 'Out of Control' and Stormtrooper's 'Body Groove', which will have yer bouncin'!
Scott Brown's mix is, well, truly amazing! These tracks will astound and uplift with their melodies and sheer bass power!
Tracks like 'Synthetic Dreams' and 'I'm In Heaven' are both bulging with uplifting melodic synths and pumping beats that will get the clubs rockin' to near breaking point! The last 5 or 6 tracks are absoltely unbelievable! Up until then I had never heard anything harder. Tommy Knocker's 'The World Is Mine' had my head throbbing and I love it purely because of it's stonking agressiveness! This collection is pure hardcore madness! If you are new to the scene, like I am (I got into it in October last year) then you will love the blend of hard beats, heavenly basslines and melodic synths that go to make this an absolute must for hardcore veterans and newcomers alike. Ladies and gentlemen, Bonkers is back, and how!

As any proper Bonkers fans will know, since "Bonkers : Ressurection" was released, the scene has been getting harder & harder. The last CD, "Bonkers : Hardcore Mutation" reflected this, however this CD is pure hardcore! The new Bonkers CD reflects exactly what the hardcore scene is like right now, and it's absolutely amazing.
Having gone to a hardcore night the saturday before recieving this on the monday, this brought back some brilliant memories. All the songs on this CD are so fresh & replayable. Hixxy once again demonstrates that he can mix some of the happiest tunes around. His CD has moved away from the traditional happy piano riffs, to the new synth sound that hardcore has adopted.
Both Sharkey & Scott Brown display amazing ability & their CD's are nice and hard. If you are a fan of the previous bonkers CD's then you will still love this, if not more so. If you're new to the scene i recommend this highly as well, as it's a brilliant reflection of what's going on right now.
Keep it hardcore. keep it bonkers!
