Great bluesy raw album. Seemingly two blokes with a few garage instruments belting it out. Bought specifically on vinyl to test out my middle age foray into record players having listened to digital music for decades. I love all types of music, and whether this lends itself particularly well to vinyl over CD, is not my call, but you pick up on loads of detail musically. Anyone who likes guitar music, rock or blues should give this a punt. Would love to sit in a smoky bar, few beers down listening to this.

I agree with everything Leon says below. Just one thing: the other example of a group recording an album in something like 14 hours is the Beatles' first, Please Please Me. By far their best album. Full of fluffs, sung when they all had colds, but completely natural and raw. Remember Beatlemania had nothing to do with Sgt Pepper. Sorry, got off the Black Keys a bit. My favourite band of the last 10 years. But their early stuff, like this, is so much better than what they've been offering lately

So glad I finally discovered The Black Keys. Everything I love about music. Hard Row is amazing, thank you Black Keys for restoring my faith in music.
