I am sure that we have all seen the film.

What you and I would like to know is; is this version Worthing buying?

I would say Yes & No.

Yes: If you like the outer case coming in steel which looks very cool,

then I would buy this version otherwise....

No: It offers nothing more that past DVD version have

offered and in fact this version offers a lot less for your money.

I would highly recommend you look at the Special Edition instead!

The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen Special Edition offers 2 discs

I would HIGHLY recommend that unless you like the steel case

this version is a much better value for your money to buy.

Offering both Dolby and DTS sound tracks and offering screen view in 2:35:1

with 17 deleted and extended scenes and much,

much more that this new Steel book case above dose not offer.

The film is still a cool film and i enjoy watching it everytime.

Thanks for reading +++

My title says it all really. The league of extraordinary gentlemen is a great film about extraordinary beings coming together. It is full of action and humour too. This is a good film for girls and boys who are fans of fantasy. Recommended!

TOP 500 REVIEWERon 13 August 2016
Set in an alternative universe in the year 1899 this steampunk action adventure movie imagines real-life literary characters operating as Victorian superheroes, recruited by the head of British intelligence in order to defeat a terrorist conspiracy for world domination headed by a shadowy villain known as the Fantom. This band of misfits has been assembled due to their particular abilities and includes a vampire, a pirate, a shape-changer, an invisible man, an immortal man, an adventurer and a young American – each with massive egos, inner demons and personality flaws. The realisation of these characters and the inevitable conflicts within the group is good fun but as the narrative progresses the screenplay morphs into a run-of-the-mill adventure yarn with the CGI dominating the screen. How could it be otherwise given the genre and its comic book origins, but the movie is definitely at its best when the characters interact with each other between the action sequences. Therefore, despite the stylish cinematography and comic allusions to the characters’ literary roots the overall result, although undoubtedly an exhilarating fantastical roller-coaster ride, is that of anti-climax – once the glossy surface is scratched there is little of substance underneath. Perhaps I am being a bit harsh but after a very promising first half an hour, my predominant feeling at the end of the movie was that of disappointment. I suggest that you seek it out and come to your own conclusion.
