This was the first release I had heard by Jan Jelinek and it was a very pleasant introduction. This record is slightly different from his previous "Looping Finding-Jazz Records" in that it is less ambient in parts and more "dancefloor" (the tracks "Music To Interrogate By" and "It's And's and But's") and it has an altogether different vibe, while still staying true to the sound of the first record. There is also the addition of vocals on a few tracks too (hence the "..avec The Exposures")something that wasn't present on 'Jazz Records.

This is nice headphone music which also has a few great moments that should be played loud (the tracks mentioned above). Another stand out track for me would be the fantastic "Facelift", one of the vocal tracks.

If you enjoy this record and Jan Jelinek's music I strongly recommend his more dancefloor oriented material as "Farben" on the Klang imprint.

If you already know of Jan Jelinek and his impeccable style and technique you know you can't go far wrong, and if you don't... BUY THIS!

I was surprised to hear vocals on the record and some of the tunes are slightly melodic in places which is a disappointment on reflection of his other more minimalist music, which is what I was after. Where the vocals are absent the tracks are alright hence the 3* rating.
