An excellent debut from Rosalia and one that is bound to get the likes of Patricia Marx and Bebel Gilberto looking over their shouldrs with admiration. The fact that Nicola Conte is the man behind the production tells you a lot of where this album is going. He manages to give you a modern electronic sound but at the same time maintain the quintessential flavour of Bossa. Rosalia's vocals are well suited to this setting and she doesn't disappoint. Whether she is singing classics such as "Canto De Ossanho" or just singing some of the originals on this album. It all has a nice groove and is bound to leave the listener wanting more. If you like your Bossa but also have leanings toward the electronic side of things then you will enjoy this.
