Easily my one of the best most consistent and brilliant albums I have ever heard, every track bar one I adore truly an incredible album.

As ever a tremendous work. Loud and melodic, a modern classic. Along with 'Once' and 'Oceanborn' this album is played constantly.

I don't think Nightwish have made a bad album. This is no exception. Not a bad song on it and some truly beautiful ones!

A brilliant CD by Nightwish. It's a shame Tarja had to leave the group.I can't wait to listen to their earlier work.

There are some tracks which will take some time to get use to, but then again if you listen to their previous albums, there is no surprise. The style is essentially the same except for more emphasis on guitars on some tracks for example 'Slaying the dreamer' (I was quite surprised when the music changed about half way through). The best song on the album would be 'Beauty of the beast' which is about 10 minutes long, while the other tracks are also good. In short the album is worth having but don't expect anything special.

It's a rock album, it's a classical album, it may even be classed as a gothic band. This group from Finland are unique. Soaring female vocals can't help but remind you of bands like Evanescence and Within Temptation, but the songs themselves seem like outdated rock tunes that contain very little emotion within themselves.
I've heard the other albums by Nightwish, and they are better (notably Oceanborn), so if you are new to this band, try another one of their albums first.
