This is a good acoustic album from Matt Skiba & Kevin Seconds, they both show great talent in playing their instruments, which are all played by themselves. Both musicians use very good lyrics and i think that they both do a very good solo album. I prefer matt skiba's songs because i am a HUGE fan of alkaline trio an his lyrics are very well written. Kevin seconds also i think does very well and i had never heard any of his music before this and he is already one of my favourite artists... that is hard to do!! I reccomend it to anyone who likes a bit of acoustic soloing! and i think that you will enjoy!
Yess.... ENJOY!

I was a big fan of the accoustic tracks on 'Goddamnit' and the awesome radio from 'Catch fire'so i was hoping from this CD some of the same and was not dissapointed, skiba produces some of his best lyrics for a while and combines that with some of the constant guitar playing we have grown to love, but on an accoustic guitar it makes the songs sound almost haunting and heartfelt, this is essential for anyone who appreciates skiba's skills, here he displays more with all the instrumeents down to him, as he used to be a drummer himself.
Kevin seconds plays an opposite roll on the CD to juxtapose the harsh realities of life that skiba portrays, he sings songs of heartbreak but to a more upbeat sound on the accoustic guitar, i'm not much of a fan of 7 seconds but Kevin's efforts has greatly increased their appeal to me, but Matt's songs will be buzzing round in your head for weeks, buy and enjoy this CD for a long while to come.

Matt Skiba is my god! This solo album just proved to me what an excellent musician and song writer he is! The highlight of his half being where he strips down existing song 'soul to keep' and completely re-does it to great effect.
As for Kevin, id be lying if i sed i had heard of him before this EP. But i have to say, i was most impresed. His style was much more Energetic and active but with depressing lyrics (a great mix and a great contrast in styles from Skibas half)
Obviously (as it is only an EP) its better value to invest in Alk3s other (all amazing) albums first, but this certainly wud be a must, in my opinion, in anyones record collection. TOP STUFF!

Skiba's tracks are all fantastic, Second's tracks are all awful.
It's worth getting if you like Matt or his band though, without a doubt.
