Although Vol. 3 in the "Great Performances", the producers, for some unknown reason, have chosen to repeat two or three of the EXACT performances that appeared in Vol. 1. Why? As in previous volumes, there is narration over some of the actual songs themselves. Why they feel it is necessary to do this, rather than let us enjoy Elvis singing an entire song uninterrupted, your guess is as good as mine. Bono (of U2) narrates, but sounds positively bored by the whole process. His monotonous tone soon becomes annoying. However, on the plus side, the overall print transfer and sound quality is very good. And, of course, there's the chance to see Elvis at his primal best.
