This is the follow up to "Swansongs", and the first thing the listener notices is a shift to a more "late saturday night, sunday morning" vibe the record gives out. It opens in good style with "Don't wake me", but really gains momentum from the second track, "Love Lies". The stand out song on the album though, has to be "Dumbstruck", which is quite simply a work of genius, and a song for anyone who has ever been in love. It really showcases piotr fijalkowski's talent shown from his earlier work in Adorable (especially the first album "Against Perfection", where he writes the romantic, "Breathless", and his tragic "Lettergo", off of the again under-rated "Fake" album), into a songwriter who understands the human experience. This album was received more with a whimper than an explosion, as it was never advertised by the record company, which is a huge shame because it is a great album which i am sure will stand the test of time. Under-rated, but top class.
