I'm so disappointed that these fellas broke up. Each cd brought better and better music. I will miss them very much. Anyway "Make it Good" was a great single and the Ext. Remix will remain one of my fave's for along time.

Following the release of the highly catchy 'Caught In The Middle', 'Make it Good' is the second song and title track off the forthcoming album. The song is more mature compared to previous tracks and is guaranteed to have you humming the tune or singing the lyrics as you walk down the street.
A1's new sound is hard to classify, not quite pop and not rock but something that combines the two, the edgy sounds of latter and the catchiness of the former are what make it so appealing and vibrant. On the new album (released. 27th May) a1 themselves have played most of the instruments and written the songs and to top it all off it's been produced by Mike Hedges, who has worked with the likes of Travis and U2.
To say it all, 'Make It Good' is everything you'd expect from a band with 6 top ten hits and 2 no 1's: excellent.

a1 have moved in leaps and bounds since their number one single take onme (a cover of the a-ha track). better production, improved songs and the chance to write their own material. it shows - make it good is a move in the indie direction but the piece de resistance of this single is the seven minute long remix of one of their better songs (penned by band members ben and paul)- caught in the middle. its fast and edgy and has a nice line in disco anthem. worth it alone for that.
