This is a great album, perhaps not as great as 'The Divine Comedy', but great nevertheless. Milla seems to have her own style of music, that is not found elsewhere and difficult to compare with. Its Folk, but modern folk as the title suggests, it feels abit like Portishead sometimes but less harsh. Some of the tracks are quite abstract with awkward lyrics, but they all have a great voice, which should be heard more often. This CD takes you into small disco with blackened walls and dim orange lights.
If you have purchased 'The Divine Comedy' and like it as much as I do you may think that this could possibly be another wonderful Milla Jovovich release. I bought this and felt very disappointed. This is nothing like Divine Comedy but more of a drum and bass type concoction with Milla providing a few silly and improvised words over the top. If you love Milla (lots) you'll like this... if you like post-rave 'chill-out' music you may like this but if you like Divine comedy for it's musical content and vocals you won't like this.
