I bought this because the Toy Dolls seem to be one of those bands who seem to get namechecked by a lot of my favourite groups (the Wildhearts and Terrorvision to name but two) and it's brilliant! This round-up sees Olga and his crew doing a cracking job re-interpreting the most unlikely of groups from Ricky Martin through Elvis, the Small Faces and the Proclaimers to Jason Donovan. It sounds completely mad and there's no denying it is but really if this album doesn't put a smile on your face then you're probably dead. Or a Coldplay fan which is arguably worse. Buy it.

Some tracks new to me, some old faves, but all great. Another example from a very talented and highly entertaining band. Even without the song-writing input from Olga, the Dolls' ability to make a tune their own shines through. I only got into the Dolls a few years ago so hope they will be around for a long time, I have a lot of catching up to do.
