Fans of old school Whitesnake should buy this album. Classic blues based British Rock. New vocalist Steffan Berggren realy shines sounding at time like a cross between David Coverdale and Thunders Danny Bowles, and you can't ask for more than that...
This is how Whitesnake once sounded and no wonder, given the personnel on show here. Coverdale still insists on using that monicker today, but it bares no resemblance to the classic days. For those of us who yearn for a bit of good ol' British blues/rock, then you could do a lot worse than this one. Standouts include, Wish You Would, Little Miss Happiness, Back To The Blues and most of the rest too(!) WIth the heart of Whitesnake playing here - Moody, Marsden etc you aren't disappointed. Even the vocals are spookily close!
Great blues guitar orientated rock. With Moody/Marsden it has to be good. Quite Whitesnakey as you'd expect (and hope) although curiously, "Ride, Ride Rde" and "Sacraficial Feelings" sound slightly Black Sabbothy (80s era). "Days To Remember" is a great ballad, the only track sung by Bernie. Several songs are rerecordings of songs by "The Snakes" - I think they sound better here. "All Dressed Up" is a rework of the old Moody-Marsden song "All Revved Up" with a few changes to the lyrics and arrangement - very good, although I prefer the original. The whole album rocks except the last track "She" which is weak and seems misplaced on the album. Definitely worth spending your dosh on this album I'd say. Plenty to enjoy.
If you are a fan of Whitesnake "Lovehunter" era then buy this. If you are a fan of Thunder too, then buy 2 copies!!!!! It is simply a superb album and just makes me realise how much Messrs Marsden and Moody contributed to the great Whitesnake sound whilst they were a part of it. Thoroughly recommend it - just hope that there will be a chance to see them on tour again sometime!!!
