I first heard this album a year or two after the Bleeding sun album and noticed straight away that this is quite similar except for the keyboards, there is more of them on this and they are damn good too!

The singer is Atti veletainen still so the growls/shriek he does is present on most songs plus some softer clean vocals, there is also a cover which is track 7 and that is the only weak track on this album. The keyboards are obviously the focal point and each song has some unbelievable melodies (Fav's being Prophetian and Aeon).

There is only 9 tracks but they are good heavy melodic metal, it's around 40 mins long so not short but not massive either.
If you like any of their other albums or Kalmah,Children of Bodom, Norther then this will appeal as it is like them but with keyboards, this one in particular has Antti Kokko so is quite similar guitar wise to Kalmah. Yeah the guitars in this are also great, they are second behind the keyboard, Vocals and bass is fine and as expected and drums are quite fast so it fits the bill fine.

Overall a thrilling metal release, and given it is over 10 years old stands up very well to newer stuff, technical, fast and brilliant!.

Brilliant album sounds to me like the Amok era of Sentenced coupled with the more melodic era of Children of Bodom. Very good album for those who appreciate a bit of Finnish melodeath.
