Cream
Format: Audio CD|Change

on 2 February 2004
Holy Barbarians are fronted by The Cult lead man Ian Astbury. This CD is a more rounded offering and though guitar-based, it is less "rock" than The Cult's previous material.
It is still a very good album though, and shows that Astbury's songwriting skills are indeed more diverse than one would have at first thought.
I am a big fan of The Cult, but I am happy to say that Cream is still an excellent album in it's own right (if a little short at just over 45 minutes long) and though it is softer and more commercial, with his unmistakable "howling" voice I would recommend it (along with Ian Astbury's solo LP, Spirit/Light/Speed) to any fans of the genre.
