This game is truly really funny! All the bad guys work in what appears to be red-tape-bound companies where getting their evil plans carried out requires filling out forms in triplicate. Full of witty one-liners and cute notes you can pick up, this is one of the funniest first-person shooters I've played in a long, long time.
I gave this four stars, because while the gameplay and storyline are great, the graphics aren't as wonderful as the PS2 is capable of, and its port-across from the PC shows a little. But this isn't supposed to be a state-of-the-art game - it's supposed to be fun. There are great Q-like gadgets, an elusive arch-evil enemy, and hundreds of his henchmen to avoid. It's Jane Bond meets Austin Powers. Grab yourself a copy - you'll be hooked!

Not a bad concept, but fails to deliver. The graphics are not up to the standard of your normal PS2 release, and gameplay is very linear.
However, the most infuriating thing must be not being able to save at certain stages as you go along. There is nothing more infuriating than knocking off a multitude of enemies, performing numerous actions, then getting killed towards the end of a mission ..... AND THEN HAVE TO GO BACK AND DO IT ALL AGAIN !!!!
Not for those people with a low patience threshold.

Probably one of the best computer games ever made let alone on the PS2. Okay so 15 years after its release in 2001 it does look very dated even for a PS2 game but the gameplay and Characters especially the main Character Cate Archer are absolutely fantastic. You literally travel the world over doing all sorts of incredible missions, there is so much variation in the surroundings and environments. Also it has the most sophisticated storyline and dialogue that I have ever seen in a game, it literally plays just like a movie, where you are the main character, it will totally suck you in and you will be left wondering what will happen next. Also when you play it, it really feels like you are actually in the sixties, just everything from the incredible 'no one lives forever' theme tune at the beginning to actually playing the game and seeing the fashions and technology of the time.
What gives the game the spy feel is that you often can listen to all these funny little conversations between everyday people, just like a real spy as its not all shooting and blowing things up. If you have a PS2 or PC then I seriously would advise to play this game. There's also a sequel to the game that I have never played as it was only released on PC, I can only imagine that it would be just as good.

When the title screen lauched for the first time and i saw the "groovy" style writing and all this wierd 60's style music started playing my first reaction was to burst out laughing. Once you figure out this game its quite a challenge and a good laugh. this game is more in depth than i first though, for instance you must collect additional intellegence to get a higher mission score at the end and the lockpick has 3 functions:- hairpin, lockpick and pioson barb. This game is a strange hybrid between half-life and austin powers. It has all the first person shooter action of half-life and the wacky time warp theme of austin powers. I dont think I'd shell out the full £30 though but get it cheaper and it'll be a good buy.

Hitman 2 - stupendous. Timesplitters - brilliant. No One Lives Forever - waste of money. I owned this game for two days before I took it back. Bad graphics, stupid enemy AI, and sound that makes you want to mute it. This game is mildly amusing in places, but the terrible graphics, and serious lack of real feel for the first person shooter genre made me hate this instantly. If you dont like blood, extreme violence, and stunning plots, this game gets 5 out of 5.
If not...........Save your money for petes sake!!!

i have got this game for pc and it is one of the best first person games out there. this has got even better graphics than before, if you have played on perfect dark or goldeneye you will love this. The story is about a woman who works for something like the FBI and the plot has got alot of twists and turns to keep you intrsted till you have finished.
the reason i gave it 4 stars is the controls but if you think the controls fom timespliters are fine then definetly buy this game.

I have this on PC as well and it is a really good game, funny dialogue, good plot and nice shooting action. The PS2 conversion has about 95% of the features of the PC original which is not at all bad as on PC this game likes 128MB of memory and PS2 has only 32MB. Plus the PS2 version has 4 new levels not in original.
