One of the brightest stars of the current roster, on the classic blue note label. Dianne Reeves celebrating Sarah Vaughan. Here you have one of the best voices of the present paying tribute to one of the all time greats. Consisting of eleven tracks, 10 made famous by Sarah the other Dianne's very own personal tribute. Just like Sarah, Dianne "Jazz singer" is only a nominal title, they both truly defy categorization. Personal Standouts are Gershwin's "Fascinating Rhythm", "speak low" and let me know if you find a better version of the cheesy "send in the clowns". As a fan of Dianne, this album has started an interest in the great Sarah Vaughan. I would recommend this album strongly to anyone with an interest in either singer.
