The latest offering from the boys at internal bass is clearly designed to get people up and dancing wherever they are, whatever they are doing! All tracks display the hallmarks of DTTB's unique style, groovy sax combined with smooth piano and of course, the usual attention-grabbing bass-line. Aptly named tracks such as 'Soul Brother Number 1' and 'Bridgeport Boogie' grab the listener's senses inducing a bout of frenzied foot-tapping. Play this CD in your car and i promise you will find yourself grooving at the wheel raising smiles from fellow motorists and passers-by at the traffic lights! If you enjoyed DTTB's previous album's, 'Spread the Word' will not disappoint but serve only to increase ones admiration and appreciation of the band. 'Sread the Word' still displays the groups ability to create an album displaying variety and individuality. From the wonderful piano in 'Sound as a Pound' to the incredible sax solo of 'Soul Brother Number 1' DTTB keep the listener entertained throughout the entire album. A good example of how influential DTTB's latest album can be was displayed to me recently while i was in a local bar. The track 'Mighty Mighty Fine' could suddenly be heard through the speakers causing an invasion of the dancefloor by young men and women all asking the same question - 'Who's this played by?' DTTB's relative anonominity in young circles (I am an exception being 21), caused me to reply with the following answer -"Down to the Bone; the coolest, funkiest band you've never heard of!" Buy this record, fall in love, see them play live, spread the word, and above all, DANCE!!!
