I had a copy of this on double VHS from back in the day when it was hard work to be a collector of anime and manga as the internet was non existent and you used to have to buy via mail order or from specialist shops. I paid £20 for the video set over 10 years ago having found a copy of this rare one off series in a dusty second hand music shop!

It still rates as one of my favourite mangas with exciting action sequences and great characters. It is a series of six episodes which come together into a climatic end battle - I won't spoil it by discussing the plot but it basically involves a special cop unit who end up uncovering a government conspiracy leading to them being selected for extermination. The pacing is exciting and well measured and I could easily watch all six in one sitting. They are dubbed in English.

I cannot understand why this brilliant manga has never been released on PAL DVD when so many obscure and quite frankly rubbish titles have been released.

For those anime and manga lovers who haven't seen this I highly recommend it as a great action thriller - one of my favourite ever.

Fairly standard mid 90's anime heavily influenced by Akira. The story is ok but nothing you wont have seen before, the powerfully psychic "angsty" characters, the badass mechanoids, pyschics vs mechanoids, the mad scientists, lots of stuff blowing up and being thrown around and shattered into smithereens. the animation is the main draw here although its not top draw it does have at least that old school charm. The character of Angel is actually only a very small part of the anime so strange that she gives it its title. None of the characters are very well drawn the main star of this is the action. Anyway I could have easily lived without seeing this and seeing how rare this DVD seems to be here in the UK not sure its worth the effort to track down? Perhaps if you have seen every other 80's and 90's anime (the period from the 80's up to the mid 90's is the best in my opinion) then this may fall as one of the last titles on your bucketlist but otherwise its not one that you will have missed much by not seeing. Other superior 80's and 90's anime's (in case you are looking for recommendations):
the 1st GALL FORCE movie, Devil Hunter Yohko, Devilman, Megazone 23, Crusher Joe. MEGAZONE 23 is definitely one of the top ones to track down first.

This DVD is amazing. I haven't watched this in years as I only ever watched on a twin VHS set I lent off a mate. Shame you can't get this in the UK but seeing as region is of no consequence to me I didn't mind getting region 1. Well worth a purchase if you are in to old school manga from back when it was the boss!

This is the first in a six part series. Which covers the adventures, Angel a member of the Special Security Force and the international terrorist organisation Red May. The action never slows down from the missile attack on the america embassy to the high speed motor bike chase at the end. If you are a fan of the more violent anime series i would highly recommend this and the other five parts.
