I approached this "game" (is that an adequate description? Perhaps "fun learning experience" would be more appropriate, if rather unwieldy) with a degree of trepidation. Comments on Amazon (I believe from an American teacher) painted it in a less than flattering light, with reference to various technical shortcomings among other criticisms. However, I need not have worried. The dreaded long loading times were nowhere to be seen, and the variety of information and activities, along with the impressive video clips and narration, make this both entertaining and enlightening. True, it's a few years old now and so somewhat lacking compared to the latest PC extravaganzas, but that barely detracts from its massive scope and enormous achievement. It's still a veritable dinosaur encyclopaedia - with added fun. As a meaningless timewaster or serious learning tool, it gets the thumbs-up from me! The free "Walking With Beasts" disc was a pleasant unexpected bonus, too. I have no complaints at all, and cannot recommend this software highly enough.
